Foreign Ambassadors Killed In Pakistan Helicopter Crash

One MI-17 helicopter out of 3 carrying visitors had a crash landing at Naltar, Pakistan on May 8, 2015. 11 foreigners and 6 Pakistani passengers were on board. 3rd MI-17 crash landed, as per initial information,  all passengers and crew survived. A Pakistan military helicopter carrying diplomats crashed on Friday, killing seven people including the Norwegian Ambassador Leif H. Larsen, Philippine Ambassador Domingo D. Lucenario, the wife of the Malaysian Ambassador Datin Habibah Mahmud and the wife of Indonesian Ambassadors Heri Listyawati Burhan Muhammad, along with two pilots and a crew member.

Malaysian Ambassador Datuk Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar and Indonesian Ambassador Burhan Muhammad were among the injured.

Military spokesman Asim Bajwa said that ambassadors of Poland and the Netherlands were also injured.

According to the Romanian Foreign Ministry, their ambassador is still alive and uninjured.

The South African, Lebanon and Romanian ambassadors were also on board according to a flight list obtained by Reuters.
