Cases Of Typhoid Fever On The Rise In Kuala Lumpur

32 cases of typhoid fever were reported in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the people are advised to be aware of what and where they eat.

Bernama reported that Titiwangsa recorded the highest number of typhoid fever at 16 cases, followed by 8 cases in Kepong and four cases respectively in Lembah Pantai and Cheras.

So far there is no deaths caused by this fever.

“A person will experience fever for one to three weeks after consuming contaminated food or drinks,” said health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah as reported by Bernama.

Some of the symptoms of typhoid fever are fever, chills, exhaustion, headache, muscle weakness, rash with small red dots, skin rash, and weight loss.
