NaPoWriMo Poem #30: The End

NaPoWriMo, NaPoWriMo,
We’ve reached the end,
No more dateline to meet,
It’s time to rest my hands.

Despite the relief,
There is sadness too,
The thought of no more challenge,
Makes me feel blue.

It is alright,
For we’ll meet again,
April two thousand sixteen,
Either shine or rain!

NaPoWriMo Poem#29: The Golden Gate Bridge

Golden Gate Bridge,
So red, so beautiful,
To cross the bridge,
It’s wonderful!

A hundred thousand cars,
Cross each day,
But it remains beautiful,
Until today.

The iconic bridge,
Glimmering in the sun,
To cross it again,
Will be so much fun!

NaPoWriMo Poem #28: The Fruit Hay(na)ku

Red, ripping,
On it’s tree.

Sweet, juicy,
I love them!

Very soft,
Tastes so good.

Healthy fruits,
Good for us!

NaPoWriMo Poem #27: I Love My Earth

I want to go to space,
But I have no rocket ship,
I want to fly with the stars,
But could I fly that far?

I want to live on the moon,
But I’ll miss my toys,
I want to jump in Jupiter,
But in space all I do is shiver.

The moon or the space,
May not be my home,
My Earth is the best,
I should feel blessed.

NaPoWriMo Poem #26: What Will My Poem Be About?

April … April,
A busy month indeed,
30 poems to write,
No time to pick up weeds.

Only four days to go,
Four more poems to write,
What will it be about?
My paper’s blank white.

Today is a hard,
I don’t know what to write,
Ah, now I’ve written something,
My paper’s no more white!

NaPoWriMo Poem #25: An Eagle and Me

An Eagle and Me is a parody based on a famous poem, ‘A Bird came down the Walk’ by Emily Dickinson, 18301886. Please click here for the poem.

A eagle, came down the walk –
And he knew what I saw –
I saw a piece of fish,
And the fellow dropped his jaw,

We raced towards the fish,
On a convenient Grass –
And then hopped sidewise to the tree
To let a Beetle pass –

He looked at me with his rapid eyes,
To find a way to trick me –
He ran into my lane,
I turned left and hit a tree –

I’m in danger, Cautious,
I offered him a Crumb,
And tried to run,
“Ouch”, I hit a bump –

NaPoWriMo Poem #24: My Kitten, Cello

In a blue house,
Where I grow up and play,
Lives a little white kitten,
Who came to stay.

That blue eyed kitten,
Loves to eat and play,
Chasing everything,
That passed in its way.

The cute little kitten,
Loves to greet me, “Hello!”
With its happy meow,
That’s my kitten, Cello.

NaPoWriMo Poem #22: The Green, Green Grass

The green, green grass,
Like natural carpet,
In my garden,
Where I play, with my cat.

Fluffy, and soft,
Damp, and warm,
Nice to roll on,
Without any harm.

The green, green grass,
Acres after acres,
As far as eyes could see,
Such beautiful nature.

NaPoWriMo Poem #21: A Cat And A Rat

A little brown cow,
Sitting with a cat,
Eating young grass,
Beside a grey rat.

The big cat looked,
At the tiny grey rat,
And the rat ran,
For it’s scared of the cat.

The cat chased the rat,
The rat went to hide,
Behind a door it sat,
As the cat ran inside.

The cat searched,
All over the store,
Oh, there’s squeaking sound,
From behind the door.

The cat searched,
Ah, there’s the rat!
It walked to the rat,
And gave it a pat.

And so it appears,
The cat is just a friend,
So together they lived,
In a land called Strand.

NaPoWriMo Poem #20: If You Fly Alone

If you fly alone,
With no wings of your friends,
Do not be afraid,
For I’ll be there.

Your foods are now bones,
And there’s no helping hands,
Don’t let your hopes fade,
Stay strong, don’t despair.
