Fierce storm and heavy rains caused a very bad flood around Athens, Greece.
During the disaster, a woman trapped in her car by rising flood waters.

A bad flood hit Greece’s capital, Athens after heavy rains.
It caused real havoc, crippled traffic and flooded basements and streets.
The flood waters submerged underpasses and highways in low-lying parts of the city and the racing waters swept parked cars in the areas.
AP news reported that, “The overnight storm swept across greater Athens, flooding hundreds of homes, causing blackouts in parts of the city and forcing authorities to close major roads and a central subway station in Athens.”.
There were no reported injuries but it was reported that a 23 year old woman died after being rescued and sent to a hospital.
This is a disaster.
