Photos: Kampung Pandan Fire Razed 5 Houses

Five houses were damaged during a fire at Lorong L4 (Bahagia) in Kampung Pandan Dalam this afternoon.

One house was wiped out by the fire, while two others were badly damaged but fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The owners of the house which was completely destroyed were away when the fire started.

The fire started at around 3:20 PM at a house on the left of the house which was fully burnt down, before the fire rapidly spread to the other houses as the houses are built very close to one another.

Strong wind and narrow roads around the area makes it harder for the firefighters to stop the fire, but it was settled at around 4:20 PM.

I witnessed the incident and it was really sad the see such a tragic incident.

Two New York City apartment buildings on a largely residential Upper Manhattan block at East 116th Street and Park Avenue collapsed in a massive explosion on Wednesday at about 9:30 a.m. (1330 GMT).

At least four people were killed and at least thirty others were injured, while more than a dozen people are reportedly missing.

Officials feared more victims are trapped in the rubble and they are searching for them.

Reuters reported that there were a total of 15 apartments in the five-story buildings.

Gas leak is believed to be the caused of explosion.

Photos: Fire Rages Along New Jersey Boardwalk

On Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013a massive fire rages along several blocks of boardwalk and businesses in a New Jersey shore town that was still rebuilding from damage caused by Superstorm Sandy.

KYW reported that the fire started at Kohr Brothers frozen custard shop on the FunTown Amusement Pier around 2:15 p.m. ET. 

AP reported that more than three hours after the fire started in the vicinity of an ice cream shop, television footage showed flames still leaping into the sky and thick black smoke covering a stretch of the coastline.

About 20 businesses have been burned and damaged over six blocks. 

As reported by CNN, the fire was still burning along Ocean Terrace Avenue between Stockton Avenue and Lincoln Avenue Thursday evening.
