Buenos Aires-based digital artist Martin De Pasquale has created some mind-bending photographs that prove Photoshop is not just about airbrushing and making people look beautiful.

De Pasquale has used the program to place himself in a darkly surreal and quirky world created with the click of a mouse.

The result is a portfolio of work that comments on the weakness of the human body and the obsession with image and beauty. (Caters News)

On December 25, 2013, about 60 people were attacked by piranhas in the Parana River, off the coast of Rosario, about 310 kilometers (200 miles) north of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It was said that there are lots of piranhas in the river.

Lifeguards director Federico Cornier said that the bathers might had been bitten by a type of piranha named palometa.

Palometa is big, voracious and with sharp teeth that can really bite.

Health Undersecretary Gabriela Quintanilla told reporters that a girl lost part of a finger in the incident.

A medical official, Gustavo Centurion, said the attack which began at mid-morning was “very aggressive.”

“There were some people that the fish literally had torn bits of flesh from,” he said.

Officials said the unusually warm weather also was apparently responsible for the fish congregating on the river’s surface before the attack.

The International Olympic Committee is meeting in Buenos Aires to decide whether to award the 2020 Olympic Games to Madrid, Istanbul or Tokyo.

Tokyo will be hosting the 2020 Olympics!

Madrid and Istanbul lost in the Saturday’s voting by the International Olympic Committee in Buenos Aires.

Turkey is in a bad situation with the troubled Syria as its neighbour.

Anyway Tokyo has not yet solved the radiation leaking after the Fukushima Nuclear Plant’s explosion on March 11, 2011.

So, Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe promised an effective cleanup.

Congratulations to Japan for winning the vote for hosting the 2020 Olympics!
