Drawing Using Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet

Apricot

Apricot, the cat. My first drawing using the Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet.

I drew the above picture using our Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet.

It’s easy to draw with the tablet because it is similar to drawing using a pencil.

But the hard part is, the lines that I draw are not as straight and as smooth as and as the lines that I draw with a pencil because when I’m looking at the tablet, I can’t look at what I’m drawing,

But after the undos and redos, I finished my drawing, and I think that the result is very nice 😉

I really enjoy using the Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet.

Developed by CIA’s Office of Research and Development in the 1970s, this micro Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was the first flight of an insect-sized aerial vehicle (Insectothopter). It was an initiative to explore the concept of intelligence collection by miniaturized platforms. (Courtesy of the Central Intelligence Agency)

These are some of the cool gadgets on display at the Central Intelligence Agency’s astonishing private museum in Langley, Virginia.

Yahoo News reporter Olivier Knox is very lucky to get to tour the 14,000-square-foot CIA Museum at the agency’s Virginia fortress.

The 800 objects on display highlight the agency’s technological ideas and focus on the organization’s successes.

There are lots of cool inventions in the first half of the 20th century.

Electrically heated vest, portable radio hat and lots of other cool things.

There’s even an early version of a car GPS unit.

Just that it doesn’t use satellite.

Now why not we take a look at some of the inventions…

Google Street View Comes To Malaysia

Do you like the idea of exploring the streets in Malaysia from your computers?

Now we can, but it will take a while until we can explore all the streets in Malaysia because Google Malaysia’s crews are still taking photos of the streets in Malaysia.

However, there are 18 locations that could now be explored using the street view made by Google Maps.

– Sri Subramaniam Temple, Batu Caves

– Masjid Sultan Sallahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam

– Taman Tasik Titiwangsa

– Fort Cornwallis, Penang

Dharmikarama Burmese Temple, Georgetown, Penang

Kapitan Keling Mosque, Penang

– Penang War Museum

– Taman Putra Perdana, Putrajaya

– Taman Rimba Riang Park, Selangor

– Taman Tasik Shah Alam, Selangor

– Sunway Lagoon

– Shah Alam Go Kart

– Taman Desa Water Park

– Taman Rimba Kiara

– Taman Botanical Kepong

– Taman Tasik Kepong Metropolitan

– Desa Park City

– Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir

Those places can be explored using the classic Google Maps, or the new Google Maps.

It will be fun to see the car with the camera that Google use to collect all the photos for Google Street View.

Anyway, if you don’t want your house to be seen on the Street View, you can contact Google.

Have fun using Street View!

Here is the video of the launching of Street View feature in Malaysia.

A 3D Printing Pen, Is It For Real?

If you are searching for a pen that could make 3D drawings, 3Doodler is the right pen for you.

3Doodler is the first and so far the only pen that could draw things in the air, for example a spring that could be stretched or squeeze like a real one.

Among the endless things that we can draw using this ‘magical’ 3D pen are:

  • Drawing basic 3D shapes and 3D models

  • Jewellery, pendants and hanging ornaments

  • Decorative art and fridge magnets

  • Personalisation of everyday objects (iPhone cases, laptops, pens, etc.)

  • A mini Eiffel Tower or a soccer pitch for your Lego men and much much more…

How I wish to have a 3Doodler 3D printing pen and use it to draw all sorts of things like what I saw in the video.

And I would also like to draw a basket to keep the other things I had drawn using the 3Doodler 🙂

Anyway I am only ten and the pen is recommended for ‘ages 12+’.

Have a look at these photos.

Thank You WordPress

I want to thank Jackie from WordPress for returning my blog, Ahmad Ali Karim’s Weblog that was deactivated for three days. I am a serious blogger and I have tried to work very hard to make my blog a successful site. On February 2, 2013, I was shocked to see a malware alert on my blog.

I was really upset and scared and I really did not know what to do. With the help of my family members, our friends and my wonderful blogger friends, we tried to solve the problem but it only got worse. Then my blog was blocked and I could not write any new post which made me really, really sad.

Again my the help of my family I tried to solve the problem but it only got worse until my blog was deactivated and I could not even read my posts anymore. I was very, very sad because I was so scared that I might lost all my posts that I had written since the past five years.

My blog means so much to me because it is a compilation of my works and ideas since I started blogging in August, 2008 when I was five years old and how I learn to be a better writer year after year; and it is a part of my learning and growing up process. I wrote about what is important to me including good values and world news that I think is important and that I want to keep for my future references.

Then Jackie wrote to us and explained that my blog was deactivated due to the US law and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and told us that WordPress found out about my age when they tried to help me with my problems. My parents and I did not know that in accordance with US law and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, WordPress needs parental notification in order to allow me to have my own website on WordPress.com. because I am child under thirteen years old. My blog was available just a short time after my father wrote to WordPress, granting his permission for me to blog on WordPress.com..

Now I am really thankful and happy to get back my blog and to be able to write new posts. I want to thank Jackie and WordPress for being very supportive and I am very glad that I blog on WordPress.  But the malware alert in Google Chrome is still not yet solved. I’m going to follow Jackie’s advice to contact Google and try to solve this problem and I hope that my problems will be solved as soon as possible.

Now I need to work harder to get the traffic back to my blog as it used to be before these problems started a month ago. Meanwhile, I’m going to try the custom design and with that I’ll be able to learn lots of interesting things about blog designing. I’m looking forward to learn CSS coding to design my blog and hope that I can make my blog a better site.

Congratulations WordPress for protecting the children’s right and privacy by enforcing the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and for being very supportive to kid bloggers like me and thanks to Jackie for being so wonderful to me.

Awesome Sun Photos From His Backyard By Alan Friedman

Friedman uses a telescope he calls "Little Big Man." The stargazer sets up the telescope for high-magnification shooting. A camera replaces the eyepiece of the telescope. Bing Quock, assistant director of the Morrison Planetarium at the California Academy of Sciences, is a fan. In an email to Yahoo News, Quock called his work “superb,” adding, “His photos are creative, artistic, and absolutely gorgeous…it’s amazing how much detail is contained in each one.” (©Alan Friedman/avertedimagination.com)

Alan Friedman, an amateur photographer, took pictures of the Sun from his backyard  in Buffalo, New York.

The pictures were taken using a camera at the eyepiece of his telescope.

He called his telescope “Little Big Man.”

It is so awesome how he could get such beautiful pictures from his backyard.

By the way, here are more photos of the Sun by Alan Friedman ….
