Metromini Bus And KRL Commuter Train Collided At Angke, Jakarta; 16 Killed

A minibus, Metromini B 80 collided with a commuter train at the Tubagus Angke railway crossing (level crossing) in Jakarta Barat, shortly at about 8:30 AM this morning.

Kompas reported that 16 people including the minibus driver were killed while 8 others were injured.

Eye witnesses reported that the minibus driver drove past the closed gate of the railway crossing before it was hit by the commuter train; dragging the minibus for more than 100 meters.

The minibus was heading to Kalideres from Grogol, while the commuter train which is from KRL commuter line was heading to Bogor from Jatinegara.
